Thomas Flanagan, Mayor of Sligo

My Grandfather Thomas Flanagan at the age of 14 left the farm on Ben Bulben with his brother Patrick Joseph Flanagan, and began working for two English women at a shop at 38 High Street. Thomas and Patrick both became mayors of Sligo. Thomas Flanagan was mayor around 1900 and Patrick around 1930.
